Position Summary:
As a Project Lead, you will be responsible for leading Special Projects designated within the Service Operations area (Special Projects or TM). Special Projects and TM are considered Blade Inspections/Repairs Campaigns, Retrofits Campaigns, or even Large Components Repairs campaigns.
Responsibilities:

Assists in the project execution of special projects within the Services department.

Maintain Project Schedule(s).

Schedules necessary Inspection campaigns and process the findings.

Assists in the coordination of blade/large components repair campaigns based on findings.

Complies with a defined schedule.

Performs quality control audits.

Assists in the management of project costs including monitoring and validating contractor timesheets.

Assists in the coordination and supervision of manpower and resources on-site for project activities.

Communicates project status to Management to facilitate customer communications.

Generates and presents periodic reports to the Management team.

Coordinates and implements technical solutions (retrofits) in cooperation with the Engineering and Technical Services departments.

Follows standard Nordex Project Management processes.

Performs pertinent operational and departmental tasks as required.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in technical or engineering field preferred but will consider relevant work experience instead of a degree.

PMP certification desirable.
-
Minimum of 2-3 years in project management, project lead, or other management capacities, especially within the renewable energy or construction industry preferred.

Proven relevant experience managing, leading, and/or coordinating several activities/projects at once (preferably within the Wind Industry or similar industry).

Ability to plan, organize and execute projects, meet deadlines, prepare reports.

Experience with the coordination of resources including subcontractors (internationally and domestically).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-
Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking.

Strong interpersonal skills, and professionalism.
-
Travel to project sites as required (>75% travel).

Must meet the weight requirement 120kg (265 lbs.) or less to safely utilize climbing equipment and climbing gear.

Must be able to work in Canada with no Company sponsorship and have the ability to obtain a US passport.

Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver’s abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.

Ability to successfully complete all Canadian regulatory laws surrounding pre-employment screening requirements.
The pay for this role is exempt $112,000.00 CAD- $130,000.00 CAD annually with up to a 10% bonus. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
