Job title: Specialist – Blade Service L1

Job purpose 
The job holder is a key member of the Blade Service Engineering First Level Support team and is responsible for providing first-line technical support on blade-related topics across multiple service regions. The role focuses on the initial assessment, validation, and technical review of blade issues based on field inputs, ensuring accurate case evaluation and prioritization.The role requires working in shifts aligned with regional time zones to support global service operations

 

Key accountabilities / Responsibilities: 

  • Act as the first level (L1) for blade-related technical incidents and support requests.
  • Provide remote technical support to conduct initial screening, categorization, and assessment of blade incidents identified during inspections.
  • Review, validate, and maintain blade inspection reports, repair reports, and other related technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with second level team for complex, critical, or exceptional cases requiring advanced technical evaluation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates of case information within incident management and tracking systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with global and regional service teams to ensure consistent case management, knowledge sharing, and resolution of technical issues.

 

Career / Job experience

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in blade service, blade inspections, or technical support.
  • Willingness to work in shift schedules aligned with regional time zones.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and Teamcenter will be considered an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of blade manufacturing processes, materials, repair methodologies, and inspection practices.
  • Sound knowledge of blade performance, failure modes, damage assessment techniques, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.

 

Education and qualification :

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma or equivalent.
