Position Summary:

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for the full-cycle recruitment and selection functions for Nordex USA, Inc. as well as oversight and administration of the Applicant Tracking System. You will source candidates using various channels, participate in/host career events, and plan interviews and selection procedures. The goal is to create talent pipelines that satisfy the current and future staffing needs of our company while leading end-to-end recruiting activity for assigned internal client groups.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates full cycle recruiting process to meet the various staffing goals across all organizational levels including sourcing, screening, interviewing utilizing behavioral interviewing techniques, selection, offer, negotiation, closing, and administrative components of recruiting for personnel.
  • Works with hiring managers to clearly define and obtain position requirements and gathers information regarding the environment, culture, etc., to ensure proper candidate suitability.
  • Creates and implements employment marketing strategies to attract active and passive job seekers.
  • Creates job requisitions and internal and external job postings.
  • Develops a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need and continuously maintains a pipeline of candidates.
  • Builds network to find qualified passive candidates; attends career fairs; partners with high schools and colleges.
  • Maintains relationships and actively utilizes employment agencies and other sources to attract talent.
  • Manages the development of ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies.
  • Determines and evaluates applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; and comparing qualifications to job requirements consistently.
  • Administers Personality Assessments for qualified candidates.
  • Follows all employment laws consistently and appropriately.
  • Conduct preliminary interviews with recruits to gauge interest, personality, cultural fit, and salary requirements.
  • Using standardized screening techniques, assess the skills, qualifications, and experience of potential candidates.
  • Provide feedback to hiring managers about details regarding applications.
  • Arrange interviews for qualified candidates by coordinating schedules; arranging travel as necessary; and escorting applicants to interviews.
  • Coordinates offers of employment with the Manager and People and Culture.
  • Conducts reference checks.
  • Initiates pre-employment screening including background checks, pre-employment physicals, and drug screening, and communicates updates to candidates and hiring managers.
  • Coordinates on-boarding and off-boarding activities including arranging new hire orientations and required training.
  • Coordinates relocation efforts for new hires (temporary housing, moving, and travel arrangements).
  • Serves as the main point of contact and administrator for the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Develops weekly recruitment activity reports for management and conducts weekly/monthly recruitment calls with hiring managers.
  • Edits and distributes weekly departmental recruiting KPIs.
  • Achieves financial objectives by managing expenditures related to recruiting and staffing.

Requirements:

 

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources management, or similar is strongly preferred.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Professional Human Resources certification is strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience seeking talent recruitment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and address sensitive situations.
  • Demonstrated experience with high-volume recruiting and understanding of full-cycle recruitment processes
  • Strong knowledge of human resources practices and compliance.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in an environment of continuous change and different challenges.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
  • Creative thinker and proactive problem solver
  • High level of computer literacy to keep up with current analytical tools used to monitor business performance.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn, lead, and improve
  • Experience in the continual development of talent pipelines and sourcing potential candidates
  • Ability to speak knowledgeably about the company and answer any questions a potential hire may have
  • Firm understanding and implementation of recruiting metrics to drive decision-making is strongly preferred
  • Previous experience developing and executing recruiting marketing and branding strategies
  • Advanced knowledge of effective hiring platforms that attract suitable candidates
  • Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of Applications and Applicant Tracking Systems, such as SuccessFactors and Paychex
  • A valid Driver’s license is required for 15% of company travel requirements.
