Position Summary:

The Site Operations Planner is responsible for supporting efficient, reliable, and cost-effective service schedules to meet contractual obligations and customer needs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare service activity maintenance schedules in CMMS systems (SAP) using inputs from site management, service technical notices, Engineering or Service defined requirements. 
  • Prioritize open work orders within defined Nordex rules and guidelines (bundling to reduce driving time, availability loss, etc.).
  • Daily review of site POD-EOD, providing Service Order support for assigned sites, which includes unplanned repairs.
  • Communication and advising with sites regarding daily tracking of ongoing work, service order entry issues and closure.
  • Ensure work orders have been set up for all incoming scheduled work, checked for accuracy, and technically closed efficiently after completion of work.
  • Ensure complete work orders contain all necessary documentation.
  • Check that material is booked on the service order where required.
  • Partner with O&M site and regional leadership, monitor performance against schedule, highlighting bottlenecks, resource shortages, and other capacity constraints. 
  • Partner with O&M leadership to detail variances and communicate plan changes to Service leadership.
  • Ensure activity plans are timely and accurately reported in SAP for Operations Financial Administrators so that cost and availability impacts are defined and reported in the monthly financial forecast.   
  • Provide Movilizer support and training to site technicians when needed.
  • Process incoming material goods receipts for sites to ensure availability for consumption and to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Responsible for tracking/scheduling end of warranty inspections of main components.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required
  • Associate degree or vocational experience preferred
  • 3-6 years’ wind energy industry experience preferred
  • Strong IT capability with MS Office
  • SAP planning and work order management experience highly preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work with remote support groups including international colleagues
  • Excellent problem solving, organization, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver’s abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.
