POSITION SUMMARY

The role of Final Test Technician directly supports the company’s mission to develop and deliver clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality for the world. As the Final Test Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing and conducting final turbine tests to ensure accurate results obtained. This role involves executing and supervising all tasks outlined in the testing procedure and adhering to assembly instructions, safety protocols, and environmental regulations. This role leads problem-solving efforts and drives improvements in final testing processes and machine electrical operations. Additionally, they provide support to Electrical Assembly Operators, participate in their training, and undertake complementary tasks such as maintaining cleanliness, inspecting tools and equipment, and conducting safety inspections. The Final Test Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of turbine testing operations.  

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Execute and/or supervise all tasks included in the procedure defined for the final turbine tests. Comply with assembly instructions, safety, and environmental rules.
  • Lead problem-solving and implementation of improvements related to final testing and electrical machine operation.
  • Provide support for Electrical Assembly Operators when necessary.
  • Participate in the training of the Electrical Assembly Operators during Final Testing.
  • Perform complementary assigned tasks such as maintaining cleanliness, inspecting tools, and conducting safety checks.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.


WHAT YOU HAVE

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or completion of Electrical FP II vocational training or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in electrical assembly or within a maintenance company.
  • Proficient basic English language skills.
  • Demonstrated interest and enthusiasm for project involvement.
  • Strong work ethic and responsibility.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Ability to perform root cause analyses and troubleshooting in electrical systems.
  • Ability to achieve and maintain crane operator certification (Required).
  • Ability to use electrical instruments (i.e., voltmeters, megameters, etc.).
  • Knowledge of computers communication configurations, and firmware updates.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 Quality System is a plus.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical administered by a medical examiner to ensure the ability to safely perform job functions and meet the physical demands of the position.
  • Ability to travel domestic and international locations to project sites and on business as required with the ability to obtain a passport.
  • Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full, valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical administered by a medical examiner to ensure the ability to safely perform job functions and meet the physical demands of the position.
