POSITION SUMMARY
The role of Director, Talent Acquisition directly supports Nordex's mission to develop and deliver clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality for the world.
As the Director, Talent Acquisition, you will lead the development and execution of Nordex North America's talent acquisition strategy during a period of significant business growth and workforce expansion. This role is responsible for building a scalable, efficient, and business-focused recruiting function that supports hiring across the United States and Canada. Reporting to the Vice President of People & Culture, you will lead the Talent Acquisition team while partnering closely with business leaders and People & Culture stakeholders to ensure Nordex attracts, hires, and retains top talent needed to support current operations and future growth. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution and requires a leader who can drive workforce planning, talent pipeline development, recruiting process excellence, and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop and execute North America's Talent Acquisition strategy aligned with business growth plans and workforce requirements.
- Build and lead a scalable recruiting function capable of supporting rapid organizational growth and fluctuating hiring demands.
- Partner with business leaders and People & Culture teams to anticipate workforce needs and develop proactive recruiting strategies.
- Lead recruiting efforts for high-volume operational hiring as well as professional, technical, leadership, and specialized positions.
- Develop innovative sourcing strategies and talent pipelines to attract top talent across diverse markets.
- Coach, mentor, and develop the Talent Acquisition team while creating accountability and performance excellence.
- Establish recruiting metrics, reporting, and workforce analytics that provide meaningful business insights.
- Improve recruiting processes, candidate experience, hiring manager experience, and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate and optimize recruiting technologies, applicant tracking systems, sourcing platforms, and automation opportunities.
- Build labor market intelligence and provide business leaders with insights related to talent availability, compensation trends, and competitive hiring activity.
- Manage recruiting agency relationships, contracts, and recruiting-related expenditures.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across People & Culture, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, and Operations to support workforce growth initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on recruiting strategy, talent acquisition best practices, and workforce planning.
WHAT YOU HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Significant progressive Talent Acquisition experience, including leadership of recruiting teams.
- Demonstrated success supporting organizations experiencing significant workforce growth and transformation.
- Experience developing and implementing recruiting strategies beyond traditional requisition management.
- Experience supporting high-volume recruiting and geographically dispersed operational workforces.
- Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, recruiting technologies, applicant tracking systems, and talent market research.
- Experience using recruiting metrics, workforce analytics, and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Preferred experience recruiting for manufacturing, skilled trades, field service, construction, energy, or other technical industries.
- Preferred experience supporting recruiting efforts across both the United States and Canada.
- Preferred experience building or transforming Talent Acquisition functions during periods of growth.
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or similar enterprise recruiting platforms preferred.
- Experience managing staffing agencies, RPO providers, contract recruiters, and external recruiting partners preferred.
- Must be willing to travel as business needs require, including travel to Canada.
- Must possess a full valid driver's license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver's abstract checks to confirm continued insurability
