Position Summary:

As a Commodity Manager, Nacelles you will develop and manage strategies to increase supplier value and continue to drive improvements in price, cost to serve, and quality of work. The Nacelle Sourcing Manager will lead supplier identification, screening, and sourcing of various vendors of services to establish a supply base in support of the Nordex assembly activities in the US factories. The Nacelle Commodity Manager will ensure the execution of global sourcing strategies in the US to ensure on-time full supplies of BOM Material. The Nacelle Commodity Manager will actively work on cost improvement measures and implement the best supply chain for the US factory.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute local sourcing strategies for assigned commodities and suppliers in close alignment with the global sourcing organization

• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance for serial and partially for service demands.

• Manage supplier relationships and performance, resolving issues as needed.

• Interface with local suppliers and local entities of global suppliers to execute US supply chain strategies and agreements, including claim enforcement.

• Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify potential opportunities and risks.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams on sourcing projects and initiatives.

• Coordinate supply chain strategy implementation with global supply hubs (e.g., India and Europe).

• Contribute to and drive local Cost of Energy initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred

• At least 2 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.

• Experience with using SAP (or a comparable ERP system).

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

• Knowledge of sourcing tools and methodologies.

• Ability to work independently and in a global cross-functional team environment.

• Fluency in English; German and/or Spanish is a benefit.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

• Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver’s abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.
