Position Summary:
The role of a Commercial Project Manager is crucial in supporting the company’s mission to develop and deliver clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality for the world. By acting as the Project’s “Chief Financial Officer,” you will ensure the financial health and performance of a project. You will report, forecast, protect, maintain, and improve the financial performance, including cash management, from handover from Sales through execution and completion. This directly impacts the company’s ability to produce and maintain renewable energy solutions.
What you’ll do:

Act as the single point of contact for the Project's financial profile and performance.

Track and explain revenue, cost, and margin changes throughout project execution, from the initial to the final forecast.

Maintain and administer the “Project Report”, the internal financial reporting document of the Project (update forecast, actuals, risks, opportunities, and more).

Track and analyze the progress of project costs and revenue recognition ensuring accuracy according to project execution progress.

Prepare the monthly forecast proposal for the Project Manager and Cost Owners.

Work together with the Project Manager to understand cost impacts and influence Project profitability.

Track and explain monthly forecast changes.

Understand and communicate project risks and opportunities.

Plan, invoice, and timely collect cash from customers, in close coordination with PM.

Process guarantees and payment securities under the project and ensure timely return or release of such.

Act as the Cost Owner for all commercial/financial cost items of a project, acting as an interface between the Finance Department and the Project Team.

Consolidate, analyze, and report Project CM (and its historical development) as well as further exposure to Project CM from risks and opportunities, ensuring the stability of CM development by the usage of contingencies and provisions.

Analyze actuals, and purchase orders to estimate the cost to complete in coordination with the Cost Owners (Materials, Logistics and Site) and Project Manager.

Review, challenge, and approve project figures before submission.

Coordinate and work closely with accounting for accuracy and efficiency of reporting.

Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
What you have:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required.

MBA strongly preferred.

3-5 years of business finance experience, with emphasis on financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.

Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities where problems are complex.

Ability to identify areas of financial risk, inform management, and develop contingency plans.

Advanced Microsoft Excel modeling skills.

Strong computer literacy required to stay updated with current analytical tools and to monitor business performance.

Experience with JD Edwards platform is a plus.

Skilled communicator with strong written and verbal abilities, capable of summarizing trends into concise operational reports.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of the staff.

Positive and professional attitude and strong leadership skills.

The pay for this role is exempt at $105,000.00- $120,000.00 annually with up to a 5% bonus. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
