Position Summary:
The Global Network Manager will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the Informational Technology, (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) network infrastructure for the company and our products & customers. This role will require strong collaboration with various stakeholders, including cybersecurity, engineering, and operations teams as well as customers and regional regulators to ensure the secure, efficient, and reliable operation of Nordex networks.
Position will support policies and activities for the Directory of IT Systems and Infrastructure, Director of Digital & Remote Operations & Global Service, complying with guidance from the CISO-Org and Head of Corporate IT to provide an expert level networking capabilities to aid in the Global expansion of Nordex IT/OT footprint, on premise and cloud.
Responsibilities:
- Provide the company with the best practice recommendations for networks, network operations and remediation.
- Aid in the design and implementation of IT & OT network architecture for wind energy plants, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to network infrastructure, topology, and configuration.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure the implementation of security best practices, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to understand their requirements and provide network solutions to support their needs.
- Perform regular network assessments, identifying potential issues, areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes.
- Monitor Global Network performance and troubleshoot issues, collaborating with other IT and OT teams as needed.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT/OT network architecture.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or a related technical discipline, and or equivalent combination of education and technical certifications.
- 4 years work experience in an Information security-related field.
- Practical experience in information security and in-depth knowledge of basics such as NERC, CIP (preferred but not required), ISO 27001, ITIL, Scrum as well as secure use of IT tools.
- Should genuinely care about people and want to help them. Must have the ability to be patient, friendly, and kind in all situations.
- Needs to be comfortable working with people from all departments, including managers and executives, in person, on the phone, and via email.
- Ability to assess impact of incoming requests and prioritize them in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
- Tech-savvy and able to quickly learn new software.
- Able to work independently, perform research, analyze data, identify trends, take, and recommend appropriate actions with minimal supervision.
- Customer-oriented thinking and a result-oriented way of working in combination with the passion to manage information security tasks and to supervise business departments.
- Ability to train the staff on network and information security procedures.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
- Highly motivated and business oriented.
- Capable of working independently; however, with the support from, and in cooperation with Nordex AG’s IT Department in USA, Germany, and Acciona Spain’s IT Department.
- Fluent English. Spanish and/or German is a plus.
- Ability to travel to domestic and international locations to project sites and on business as required with the ability to obtain a passport.
