Operations Planning Team Leader (m/f/d)

MISSION: Manage the department of Programming, part of Global Planning.

 

TASKS:

  • Lead detailed project planning (with specific planning software), portfolio planning and planningtools development teams.
  • Produce high-quality tactical operations plans and detailed project plans; and run periodic planning cycles able to detect both planning conflicts and planning improvement opportunities, facilitate discussion for planning improvements and ensure implementation of replans when adequate.
  • Contribute to a better-quality plan for: the global portfolio of projects, considering vertical aspects such as capacity, buffers and risks affecting numerous projects.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure good.plans and seamless execution (projects on time, in full, with quality, at minimum possible costs and w¡th limited working capital):
    •  With Project Coordination teams and lndustrialization team in Planning PM/EPC, to ensure best possible project planning and seamless execution towards Project Management. .
    •  With Project Management to ensure plans are best-possible for project success.
    •  With Global Planning Offices as liaison between monthly long-term plans and tactical operations plans.
    •  With lndustrial Engineering, our own factory funciions, material management and logistics to ensure plans are realistic and followed-up thoroughly till completion, and to detect deviations quickly and react as an organization.
  • Manage and develop own planning resources to support other functions and stakeholders in our areas of competence.
  • Develop and implemênt guidelines for the creation, updating and follow-up of project plans, together with.- Project Management, Divisions and other PM/EPC functions.
  • Define, design and implement leading and lagging KPls relative to the plan, progress and actual execution and evolutioñ of both individual projects and the whole project portfolio.
  • lmplement KPI review cycles for detection, problem-solving, specific planning mitigations for projects, and implementation of structural improvements into the planning processes and tools.
  • Ensure high-level planning quality in both the published plans (deliverables) and the processes to generate them.
  • Define, design and implement high-quality standards for planning and project planning inside own function and with other functions.
  • Lead implementation of planning best-practices across the organization.

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree, preferably in industrial engineering, economics or techñical education with relevant work experience.
  •  Previous knowledge, experience and passion for Planning, Operations and/or Supply Chain Management
  • Team leadership skills, ability and enthusiasm to grow teams and develop talent.
  • Very good communication skills, strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Good networking skills, ability to work with other functions with a win-win approach to strengthening relations.
  • Self-responsible, structured and solutión-orientated working.
  • Deep understanding of process mapping, process design and process improvement methodologies.
  • Understanding of data models and data flows.
  • Very good English skills; preferably Spanish and/or German as well,
  • Intercultural understanding, ability to work productively in multitask teams and team player attitude.
  • Understanding of planning tools and databases (Primavera, Oracle) and programming tools (xlsx and VB) desirable.
  • Project management experience desirable.
