The Head of Operational Global Sourcing Service is responsible for leading and coordinating operational sourcing activities for critical service-related commodities within the wind industry, including Blade Repairs & Inspections, Cranes, Subcontractors, Statutory Inspections. Acting as the main interface between Global Sourcing and Regional Service organizations, the position ensures value creation through cost efficiency, supplier performance, risk mitigation, and service continuity, while strengthening collaboration, communication, and customer satisfaction across regions.

 

YOUR TASKS:

 

  • Provide functional leadership and guidance to all Regional Sourcing Managers, ensuring alignment with global sourcing objectives, policies, and best practices
  • Own and steer the global sourcing strategy for assigned service commodities
  • Guide and support the team driving alignment and acting as an escalation point and strategic partner, supporting complex negotiations and critical supplier discussions
  • Drive continuous improvement in cost, service level, supplier performance, and risk mitigation and standardize communication flows between Global Sourcing and regions, ensuring clarity on strategies, priorities, and sourcing decisions
  • Promote collaboration across regions to leverage scale, share supplier insights, and deploy best practices globally

 

YOUR PROFILE:

 

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Economics, or a related field
  • MBA or similar is strongly preferred
  • C1 Spoken and Written English
  • Demonstrated international experience, including working across multiple regions and cultures within a global matrix organization Efficient in terms of time and cost savings

  • Strong understanding of international contract law principles and governance frameworks
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate long-term sourcing strategies into operational execution
  • Very strong negotiation skills, with demonstrated success in complex, high-value international negotiations
  • Analytical and pragmatic problem solver
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to travel
