We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Mechanical Technician / Gearbox Technician, working alongside our Gearbox Specialist to serve as the direct interface to the Drivetrain and Tower Service Competence Centre at HQ. The main tasks include:

  • Conducting gearbox and main bearing endoscopies.
  • Monitoring the drivetrain conditions and identifying a sick turbine for damaged bearing.
  • Handling drivetrain-related tickets, including oil leakage checks and air breather recommendations.
  • Handling reports, analysing data, identifying faults and recommending preventive actions.
  • Serving as point of contact for drivetrain issues, providing exchange recommendations and following up on claims with HQ.
  • Training Technicians on drivetrain repairs and endoscopies.
  • Providing operational support to colleagues during client meetings

The position is location-flexible and includes frequent travelling, allowing you to be located anywhere in Finland or Sweden. The ideal start date is 3rd of March 2025.

 

Your profile:

  • a degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experienced in mechanical measurement methods and a strong knowledge of mechanical drawings.
  • Vibration analysis certification according to ISO 18436-2
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering mechanics and several years' experience working on gearboxes.
  • Willing to travel on a regular basis, including weeks away from home.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, CAD, and other design packages.
  • A good physical condition - able to work at heights.
