POSITION SUMMARY

The role of Site Manager in PM directly supports the company’s mission to develop and deliver clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality for the world. As a Site Manager at Project Management, you will be responsible for planning, overseeing, and leading wind farm projects from ideation through to completion while interacting with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several moving project parts simultaneously.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manages and coordinates all the activities during the delivery, erection, and commissioning phases of the WTG from the beginning of the project to the Final Certification by the Owner.
  • Coordinates with the contractor the mobilization of all heavy equipment on-site including cranes, erection (mechanical and electric) equipment, and transportation equipment
  • Organizes and tracks all the quality control, transportation, and engineering documents for the project.
  • Prepares daily and weekly job progress reports to be reviewed by upper management.
  • Ensure that all parts are delivered to the site complete and on time so as not to interfere with the construction schedule.
  • Interact with clients during wind farm construction.
  • Monitors/tracks the construction schedule to ensure it meets all contractual obligations.
  • Experience in quality management and quality control processes; wind turbine assembly experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Ability to spend 100% of the time at the wind farms during the erection and commissioning process.
  • Manage personnel and interface with the client.
  • Manage contractors, sub-contractors, and the public.
  • Manage several activities at once; organize and prioritize work; meet deadlines and prepare reports.

 

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE

  • Associate degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline or equivalent related work experience accepted; WTG on-site assembly experience preferred.
  • A PMP Certification or ability to receive one within the first year of employment is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience with mechanical/construction; wind farm mechanical construction experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel to domestic and international locations to project sites and on business as required (75% travel) and ability to obtain a passport.
  • Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver’s abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.
  • Ability to meet specific OSHA and ANSI weight limits of 265 lbs. or less.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical administered by a medical examiner to ensure the ability to safely perform job functions and meet the physical demands of the position.

  • Speak and understand English fluently to effectively communicate safety and job-related information, follow safety instructions, and collaborate with English-speaking supervisors and team members.

 

The pay for this role is exempt at $100,000 - $115,000 with up to a 15% bonus.  Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
