YOUR TASKS:

  • Mechanical Engineer dedicated to the reliability of the TOF system (prototype validation + field investigations), development of the DFMEA and system documentation.
  • The System “Tower and Foundation” is technically responsible for the full lifecycle of the support structure components of the WTG and System reliability performance studies for prototype turbines/towers under validation and for turbines/towers in operation.
  • Direct support to System lead regarding the supervision and maintenance of design bases Support to development of the TOF system DFMEA, as well as coordination of the identified actions.
  • Support to System Design Team for the documentation and planning together with the tower development project engineer.
  • Support to RCA for field investigations related with the TOF system and ensuring experiences are available to TOF system and included in design bases.
  • Identification of design improvements in combination with the outcome from the reliability studies.
  • Participation in project meetings representing the TOF system.
  • Definition of the TOF system validation plan for new turbines/tower developments together with the System Lead.

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Completed diploma, master's or doctorate in civil or mechanical engineering.
  • Knowledge and experience in development of load carrying support structures (steel, concrete, welding, bolts) in wind industry.
  • Knowledge of relevant body of standards.
  • Ability to work independently, and systematically.
  • Assertive and confident appearance, strong team spirit.
  • Project Management skills will be valued.
  • Good written and spoken English. Ideally skills in German and Spanish.
  • Experience: 5+ years in the wind turbine sector, specifically with design and validation of wind turbine support structures.
  • Availability to travel.
