Senior Aerodynamic Engineer (m/f/d)

As part of our growth, we are looking for a Senior Aerodynamic Engineer (m/f/d) Working as part of the international Tools team, you will participate in the aerodynamic design, evaluation and optimization of Wind turbines rotor blades projects performing the following tasks:

YOUR TASKS:

• Automation of methods within the framework of in-house design tools
• Maintenance of existing methods and programs within the in-house framework
• Develop new features for existing programs or entirely new programs to fulfill the blade design needs
• Contribute to the software architecture of our in house framework
• Participate in design or research projects as a support engineer with an eye on the actual work to be delivered and how the programs and methods will evolve after that experience
• Aerodynamic design, evaluation and optimization of wind turbine rotor blades, as explained above, by doing the tasks and supporting with evolution of the programs and methods

YOUR PROFILE:

• Master’s degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering or equivalent, Phd Welcome
• Software development with python and NumPy, pydantic. We use pytest, ruff, git and Azure DevOpsClear ability for abstraction, and a good balance between concrete solutions and implementations, on the one hand, and generalization and from-above perspective, on the other 
• At least 5+ years of professional experience in the wind turbine industry with a focus on Blades
• Solid understanding of entire turbine, aerodynamics, and mechanical analysis methods
• Knowledge of quality assurance and problem-solving methodologies is an advantage. Clear ability for abstraction is a must.
• Experience working in international, cross-functional engineering teams with clear communication skills
• Fluent English required, Spanish and German skills will be a plus
• Willingness to travel and able to manage technical topics in parallel with an analytical approach
