As a Technical Compliance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that our wind turbine products comply with national and international regulatory standards. This role bridges engineering expertise with global regulatory understanding. You will work cross-functionally with engineering teams and external stakeholders to translate evolving market requirements into actionable design and compliance measures.

This is a highly collaborative and technically oriented role, ideal for someone with an engineering background (e.g., mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or wind energy), who is skilled in interpreting complex regulations and can integrate those into a global product development process.

YOUR TASKS:

  • Research and monitor global regulatory frameworks and standards (e.g., EU, US, APAC) relevant to wind turbine components and systems.
  • Identify regulatory deviations compared to the European market and evaluate their impact on product design.
  • Integrate country-specific requirements into the engineering – e.g., steel tower standards, cable regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Act as a point of contact for compliance topics within the wind turbine development process, ensuring all internal stakeholders are aligned.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of Technical Files in line with the European Machinery Regulation and other relevant market requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of internal standards, procedures, and compliance workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with the certification, product development, and systems engineering teams.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Renewable Energy or similar).
  • 2+ years of experience in compliance, or regulatory engineering – preferably within the wind, aerospace, or mechanical industries.
  • Strong understanding of the European Machinery Directive and CE marking procedures; experience with other market-specific frameworks is a plus.
  • Familiarity with wind turbine development processes is a plus.
  •  Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory texts.
  • Experience in cross-functional environments and an ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Fluent in English; German or Spanish is an advantage.
