In this role, you lead the Portfolio Management team and shape the overall portfolio management strategy to ensure balanced engineering capacity and effective project execution. You operate at the interface of Engineering, Sales, Finance, and Operations, ensuring transparency across priorities, resources, and performance. As Head of Portfolio Management (m/f/d), you drive data-based decision-making and continuously strengthen portfolio management capabilities across the organization.

 

YOUR TASKS
• You define the strategic direction and lead the Portfolio Management team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and governance standards
• You continuously develop the end-to-end project and portfolio management framework from prioritization to delivery and benefit realization
• You manage portfolio planning by balancing budget, capacity, resources, risks, quality, and timelines based on structured analysis
• You prepare and facilitate portfolio reviews with reliable data, proposing corrective actions based on performance deviations
• You coordinate cross-functional alignment with Sales, Finance, and Operations on forecasts, volumes, and pricing to support revenue and profitability targets
• You contribute to executive-level committees and report directly to senior leadership (SVP level) with clear and structured insights
• You advance portfolio management processes, analytics, and KPI frameworks while strengthening collaboration across the portfolio community

 

YOUR PROFILE
• Degree in Engineering, ideally in industrial engineering, engineering management, or a comparable qualification
• More than 5 years of experience in technical project planning, portfolio management, or building and leading a PMO organization
• Strong expertise in portfolio and project management tools such as MS Project, Sensei IQ, Power BI or similar
• Proven experience in data-driven decision-making, including performance analysis across budget, capacity, risk, and timelines
• Very good English skills (written and spoken); additional Spanish and German skills are an advantage
• Independent, structured, and reliable working style with strong analytical thinking
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with intercultural competence in cross-functional environments
