YOUR TASKS:

  • To ensure the compliance of Nordex wind farms with International Grid Codes.
  • Having the mentality of a product owner for Grid Code Compliance within Nordex.
  • Analyze and evaluate Grid Code requirements and standards.
  •  Ensuring that there is no requirement without a test case.
  • Transfer and translate Grid Code requirements to the software development process by abstract software requirements and test cases.
  • Being member of an agile software development process.
  • Develop internal product specifications for Grid Code compliance.
  • Support the Grid Code compliance and Grid connection within Sales and Project phase.
  • Define test plans for Grid Code compliance and quality assurance on wind farm, wind turbine and component level.
  • Perform, evaluate and document Grid Code compliance tests.
  • Analyze test data.
  • Specifying new functions and features to gain, maintain and optimize Grid Code compliance on wind farm and wind turbine level.
  • Shape and clarify Grid Code requirements within working groups, committees and direct exchange with utilities and customers.
  • Having a clear picture and deep understanding of the capabilities of the Nordex products to be able to rate Grid Code compliance.
  • Optimize the processes within Grid Code compliance.

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering/Power Systems or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Systems or similar. 
  • Experience with Grid Code requirements.
  • Experience in test case definition and ideally test-driven development.
  • Good knowledge of Grid Code compliance at power plant level and details of the software to archive this. 
  • Ideally experience with OEM wind turbines or similar.
  • Experience of programming in Python or similar for test analysis and automation. 
  • Self-responsible, structured, customer-oriented and solution-minded working solution-oriented.
  • Cross-cultural understanding, and  strive to work collaboratively with teams across functions and geographies. 
  • Fluent spoken and written English. Spanish and/or German would be an asset.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proactive, assertive and a team player.
