Engineer Grid Integration Control (m/f/d)

YOUR TASKS:

  • Development and conception of new control functions to improve wind turbines as well as wind power plant performance in terms of grid integration, grid codes and power quality improvement fulfilling loads requirements.
  • Perform a fine-tuning of the control system parameters to ensure both stability and best optimization results for the different power plant configurations, grid codes and grid scenarios.
  • Collaborate with the modelling and best simulation of the key subsystems, sensors, grid analyzers, and main electrical actuators in the wind turbine as well as ancillary equipment at windfarms or hybrid power plants.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfil Desing Failure Mode and Effect Analysis for a new control function.
  • Agile working in an international team.

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • MSc or Ph.D. degree in Electrical, Power Systems or Control Engineering field
  • Good knowledge on Power System Analysis (Stability, Electrical Machines, Power Converters).
  • Good knowledge on Control Techniques (Robust Control, Signal Processing).
  • Good experience with Model Based Design for Control Algorithms in Matlab/Simulink.
  • Good knowledge on Electrical Systems modelling (Simscape Electrical, PowerFactory).
  • Desirable experience with Embedded Coding Generation and RT systems for Control Applications (Speedgoat).
  • Desirable programming skills in C/C++, Phyton, Git, Azure DevOps.
  • Strong initiative and hands-on mentality.
  • Independent, reliable and systematic/structured way of working. Strong communication and team skills paired with intercultural competence.
  • English (very good written and spoken). Knowing German and/or Spanish will have added advantaged.
  • Minimum work experience of 5 years or equivalent in the academy.
  • Availability to travel.
