Control SW Dev Engineer (m/f/d)

YOUR TASKS:

  • New and further development of control technology functions in the area of operational control of the wind turbine and also in the closed loop controller.
  • Implementation of software functions according to the requirements on a programmable logic controller (PLC) based on Model-Based-Design and code generation approach.
  • Definition of test and acceptance criteria for the qualification of the closed loop control of the wind turbines.
  • Quality assurance through software tests on the HiL setup in the software laboratory and on site at the wind turbine.
  • Creation of the related software documentation.
  • Close cooperation with various departments in an international environment. Investigate and analyse complex control issues in the fleet and develop corrective actions. Identify patterns of faults and deviations to collaborate on developing preventive actions.

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • MS or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical, Control, Aeorospace or Electrical Engineering field.
  • Good experience in PLC software development according to Matlab/Simulink is mandatory and IEC61131 is nice to have. Desirable SW and programming skills in C/ C++, Python, Git, SVN…
  • Good knowledge of industrial communications protocols (Profinet, ModBus TCP, CAN…) is required.
  • Good knowledge on Control Design Techniques (Robust Control, Kalman Filters).
  • Desirable experience on Predictive Control, Fault Tolerant Control, System Identification and Machine Learning Algorithms.
  • Desirable experience with Embedded Coding Generation and RT systems for Control Applications.
  • English (very good written and spoken). Ideally skills in German or Spanish
  • Independent, reliable and systematic/structured way of working. Strong communication and team skills paired with intercultural competence.
  • Minimum work experience of 2-3 years.
  • Availability to travel
