Tower Design Engineer

As a Tower Design Engineer (m/f/d), you are responsible for the development and design of components for steel and hybrid towers of wind turbines. You work in interdisciplinary teams and shape both structural details and safety-relevant components. In this role, you contribute to implementing robust, cost-efficient, and safe tower solutions.
YOUR TASKS
• As a Tower Design Engineer (m/f/d), you develop and design components for steel and hybrid towers of wind turbines
• You create technical requirements, specifications, and development and product documentation
• You perform calculations and dimensioning for components made of steel, aluminium, as well as welded and formed constructions
• You collaborate closely with interfaces such as procurement, quality, service, and assembly to define components holistically
• You model components and create drawings using NX Unigraphics and maintain data in Teamcenter 14
• You review development results from internal and external design engineers and support technical evaluations
• You contribute to cost reduction initiatives, quality analyses, and, if required, project planning using Microsoft Project
YOUR PROFILE
• Completed degree in mechanical engineering, design, manufacturing technology, or a comparable field
• At least 3 years of experience in the development and design of steel, sheet metal, or welded constructions
• Experience in creating technical documentation and applying development methodologies
• Strong knowledge of NX Unigraphics and Teamcenter
• Knowledge of wind turbines is an advantage
• Independent, structured, and team-oriented way of working
• Clear communication skills and a high level of responsibility and flexibility
• Fluent in English; Spanish and/or German are a plus
