Group Lead Automation Engineering - Test Center Wind Energy

As Group Lead Automation Engineering Test Center, you take responsibility for testing strategy, execution, and team leadership within the Engineering Test Center. You contribute to the validation and verification of wind turbine systems across development and operational phases. Working in an international environment, you ensure efficient and reliable integration testing using modern automation and simulation approaches (e.g., HIL, rest bus simulation).
YOUR TASKS
- Lead and develop a team of engineers and specialists in the Engineering Test Center with a clear focus on automation and integration testing
- Take global responsibility for integration tests of wind turbine subsystems using rest bus simulation and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) methods
- Plan, manage, and coordinate test activities across internal and international test labs to ensure consistent test quality and coverage
- Continuously enhance and scale the automation test infrastructure in line with future product and project requirements
- Improve efficiency of processes, tools, and workflows within the Test Center organization through data-driven optimization
- Act as central contact for stakeholders in engineering and project management regarding test strategy and execution
- Ensure reliable validation of system functionality and performance in strong alignment with product development targets
YOUR PROFILE
- Degree in engineering or a comparable qualification with a strong technical background or equivalent
- Extensive experience in the wind industry with solid knowledge of wind turbine systems and their components
- Proven experience in test automation, integration testing, and related tools such as Python, imc Famos, Matlab, or LabVIEW
- Strong understanding of engineering processes combined with good commercial awareness
- Fluent communication skills in English and German, both written and spoken
- Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style with the flexibility to adapt to dynamic environments
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with willingness for occasional international travel
