Engineer Power Curve Validation (m/f/d)

Integrated into an experienced international team of system and validation experts in the Global Engineering division, you will be supporting our field validation activities focusing on wind turbine power performance.
YOUR TASKS
- Supporting power curve verification campaigns of wind turbines in accordance with the IEC 61400-12 series
- Processing, analysis and evaluation of measurement data as part of wind turbine prototype testing, verification in customer projects and validation activities in development projects
- Identification of turbine performance deviations, determination of causes, development of optimization potential and definition of corrective measures
- Improvement of process efficiency by maintaining and advancing the toolchain (mainly Python), including database development, automated reporting and advanced data analytics
- Organization of wind measurement campaigns: site assessment; coordination of permitting process; supervision of met mast installation, operation and dismantling; support with LiDAR deployment and operation
- Cooperation with international partners and independent measurement institutions
YOUR PROFILE
- Degree in an engineering discipline, or comparable qualification
- Several years of relevant professional experience desirable
- Knowledge of aerodynamics and wind turbine control preferred
- Experience in processing and interpreting large amounts of data
- Strong programming skills, particularly in Python language; experience with SQL and Power BI is advantageous
- Expertise in data acquisition systems and power / wind measurement technology desirable
- Very good English communication skills, both in speaking and in writing; ideally you are also fluent in German or Spanish
- You are self-driven and reliable, possess strong organizational and analytical skills, and have a diligent, structured way of working
- You enjoy communicating and working in a multicultural team
- You are willing to work on wind turbines (working at height) and to travel for business from time to time
