As a Development Engineer specializing in lightweight structures, you will be responsible for the systematic development of composite components for wind energy systems. You will support the design process from requirements definition and concept development through to production-ready design. A particular focus will be on developing robust and safe technical solutions within the renewable energy sector. 

 

 

YOUR TASKS 

  • Methodological development of composite components as a Development Engineer throughout the entire product lifecycle 
  • Analysis, derivation, and management of technical requirements, taking into account standards, machinery directives, and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) aspects 
  • Development, evaluation, and selection of solution concepts with a focus on functionality, effort, quality, and manufacturability 
  • Structural design and engineering of composite components while considering manufacturing constraints and requirements  
  • Further development of preferred concepts to design maturity for prototypes, testing, and series production  
  • Support for prototype validation, hardware testing, and technical evaluation of test results
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, specifications, as well as 3D models and drawings using Siemens NX and Teamcenter 

 

 

 

YOUR PROFILE 

  • Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable qualification 
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in mechanical design or technical product development  
  • Strong knowledge of design methodologies and lightweight engineering of composite components
  • Experience in concept development and systematic requirements management  
  • Solid understanding of standards, machinery directives, and safety-related requirements  
  • Experience with 3D CAD systems such as Siemens NX and, ideally, PLM systems such as Teamcenter  
  • Very good English language skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in international, multidisciplinary teams
