POSITION SUMMARY

The role of Resource Supervisor directly supports the company’s mission to develop and deliver clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality for the world. As a Resource Supervisor, you will be supporting Wind Farm sites with Services and Blades Traveling Technicians. The Resource department is responsible for providing qualified resources, including traveling service technicians and contractors as needed to perform a variety of site activities including, but not limited to, blade repairs, maintenances, inspections, retrofits, large component exchanges and repairs.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Ensure all projects meet or exceed Nordex HSE legal requirements.
  • HSE Training compliance for any Nordex technician or contractor at the project.
  • Maintains required training certifications and qualifications ensuring personnel are performing work safely and to quality standards.
  • Prepares plans and scheduling resources.
  • Leads a large team of decentralized traveling service technicians across North America and Canada.
  • Maintain resource techs team PPE, Trucks, and Tooling.
  • Report the usage of the resources and related cost by utilizing available corporate tools.
  • Support the executing responsible team to coordinate logistics/mobilization of necessary specialized tooling and equipment for maintenance and repair activities at site.
  • Regular site audits for Scope, Quality & HSE performance of the resources team. Addressing findings, gaps, and any improvement opportunities.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.


WHAT YOU HAVE

  • Associate degree required or equivalent work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Electrical discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a project management, project lead or other management capacity, especially within the renewable energy or construction industry.
  • Proven experience with wind turbine operations.
  • Strong computer skills (MS office) required.
  • Ability to think and analyze situations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a flexible work environment in order to meet operational needs including managing and coordinating several projects at once with different teams and simultaneous demanding situations.
  • Excellent communication and Analytical skills.
  • Ability to train, coach and lead large teams.
  • Ability to successfully interact and communicate with other internal departments.
  • Ability to perform technical and economic feasibility analysis.
  • Understanding of financial budget management, forecasting and cost controlling.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Willing to travel up to (50%) as necessary with a flexible work schedule.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Qualified applicants will not require employer sponsored work authorization for employment in the United States now or in the future.
  • Travel to project sites as required (up to 50% travel)
  • Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver’s abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.
  • Ability to meet specific OSHA and ANSI weight limits of 265 lbs. or less

  • Speak and understand English fluently to effectively communicate safety and job-related information, follow safety instructions, and collaborate with English-speaking supervisors and team members.

 

 

The pay for this role is exempt at $100k- $115k USD annually with up to a 10% bonus.  Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
