THE PURPOSE

 

This role will lead quality and technical improvement projects and programs from order to acceptance in compliance with costs, quality and time in Global Service. This position is part of the Technology Improvement team in Global Service Quality and will be based in Hamburg, Germany or Porto, Portugal.

 

YOUR TASKS

 

  • Lead strategic projects, programs, and improvement initiatives within Service.
  • Take overall accountability for the successful delivery of complex projects and interrelated programs.
  • Organize and lead international project teams, defining responsibilities, resources, budgets, and project schedules.
  • Develop project scope, objectives, and KPIs in alignment with business priorities and stakeholder expectations.
  • Monitor and report project and program status, including cost, timing, staffing, risks, and performance.
  • Lead governance activities, including steering committees, management reporting, and escalation management.
  • Identify, mitigate, and resolve project risks, obstacles, and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Facilitate workshops, alignment sessions, and decision-making forums with global stakeholders and senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and fact-based decision-making through performance analysis.
  • Coach and mentor project managers and project teams while strengthening project management capabilities across the organization. 


 
YOUR PROFILE

 

  • University degree in an Engineering, Science or Management.
  • Several years of experience leading complex projects from definition to implementation.
  • Proven project and/or program management experience in cross-functional, international environments
  • Strong continuous improvement and change management background.
  • Ability to work autonomously in complex, global matrix organizations.
  • Strong leadership, ownership mindset, and ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, including senior leadership engagement.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (especially PowerPoint); Power BI and SAP/ERP knowledge are advantageous.
  • Fluent business English; experience in Service Operations, Quality Management, or the wind energy industry is a plus.
  • Possibility to do limited business trips (few days per year)
