Network Architect (m/f/d)

In the role as Network Architect you are part of a global functional team and act as main responsible for the network architecture and network configuration topics from our office in Porto.
YOUR TAKS
• Provide network concepts, designs and implementation solutions from customer requirements for Nordex Onshore wind park projects based on Nordex corporate network designs and components.
• Effectively corporate with Customers, Nordex Sales Engineering and Product development to secure continuous improvement for SCADA network infrastructures and project installations.
• Support Network Experts during configuration and installation.
• Responsible for keeping Nordex corporate standards for network designs.
• Responsible for providing input and solutions to the continuous product development and improvement process for Nordex SCADA solutions with focus on operational secure network infrastructures, IT/OT Security and Cyber Security per regulatory requirements and compliance globally
• Elaborate on project-specific technical modifications of wind park networks together with other team members like the SCADA Project Engineer or IT Network Specialist.
• Write and implements technical specifications for the SCADA system to meet the site-specific needs of existing and new customers.
• Review technical requirements regarding the SCADA system and communication network with potential customers.
• Design configurations for network components (switches, router, firewalls, sensors, and customer options) in MS-Visio.
• Provide Troubleshoot-methods to identifies issues with communication and applications if needed
• Work with customers to identify needs and requirements for new network deployments
• Assist in clarifying processes and designs with customers
• Introduce new Nordex network technologies to the operational team
YOUR PROFILE
• Engineering degree or equivalent e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or related fields
• Experience in computer networks and their configuration (IP concepts, firewalls)
• Broad knowledge of communication protocols (IEC,104, IEC101, MODBUS, DNP, OPC)
• High level of knowledge and experience with international standards for IT/OT, Control Systems and Cyber Security, such as ISA99, IEC-62443, ISO-27000/27001 and other applicable standards.
• Hirschmann Industrial System and Security Certification (HiSP, HiSE, HiRS, HiBS) or similar
• Cisco certifications are an added value.
• Preferable knowledge and experience with network technologies for wind industries.
• Skills in drawing complex networks in Microsoft Visio
• Self-responsible, structured and solution-oriented working
• Experience with technical support to colleagues and users at broad and different levels
• Very good communication skills, strong planning and organizational skills
• Fluency in English, other languages are an added value
• Intercultural understanding, ability to work productively in multitask teams and team player attitude
• Willingness to go on business trips abroad on a regular basis
As Network Architect, you will report directly to the Head of IT Network, Security & Access as disciplinary superior within Global PM/EPC – Project Technology.
