THE TEAM

 

  • Operation Engineering Electrics is a Competence Center within Global Operational Engineering. Our international team, based in Spain, Mexico, Portugal, India, and Germany, provides global support for wind turbine electrical systems and serves as trusted advisor for in- and external stakeholders. We support the full lifecycle, from production to service, covering a wide range of electrical components, from grid connection, through main converters, to blade arc protection, as well as many others.

 

THE PURPOSE

 

  • We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to help shape the future of wind turbine troubleshooting through AI. This role is key to developing and continuously improving AI-guided troubleshooting, supporting field technicians and engineers in diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently. This function requires deep expertise in wind turbine electrical systems, strong communication skills, and highest level of ownership in consolidating and structuring expert knowledge into fault-finding trees that empower intelligent, data-driven tools.

 

YOUR TASKS

 

  • Develop and maintain structured knowledge content as the foundation for an AI-powered troubleshooting assistant for wind turbine electrical systems.
  • Closely collaborate with subject matter experts to convert expert knowledge into machine-readable fault-finding trees, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Validate AI-generated troubleshooting sequences with a strong focus on technical correctness and compliance with HSE standards.
  • Develop and institutionalize a process to efficiently execute the above-mentioned task within the own department.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and capture insights related to wind turbine troubleshooting in close collaboration with experts.
     

YOUR PROFILE

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering;
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in wind turbine technology, with skills in independently troubleshooting electrical systems and maintenance.
  • Proven experience in knowledge management, ideally in environments involving AI or digital tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure complex technical information clearly and logically.
  • Ability to work effectively across international, globally dispersed teams of both technical and non-technical experts.
  • Understanding of industry standards and regulations relevant to wind turbine operations and safety.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • Proficiency in English — we’re not expecting Shakespeare, but you should feel comfortable speaking in interviews and daily meetings with international colleagues;
