As part of our continued growth across the Oceania region, we are looking for a Project Manager - Operational Readiness to strengthen our Project Management organisation. In this role, you will drive the development, implementation and continuous improvement of project delivery frameworks, governance standards, processes and tools that support the successful execution of wind energy projects across Australia and New Zealand. Acting as the link between global and regional teams, you will help adapt and optimise project delivery practices to local business requirements, while promoting standardisation, operational excellence and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
 
 
YOUR TASKS: 
 
  • Establish and continuously improve the Project Management Readiness framework across Oceania projects.
  • Develop and implement project delivery processes, governance structures, project controls and best practice standards aligned with Nordex global requirements.
  • Ensure project teams are fully prepared for each project phase through readiness reviews, planning assessments and structured handover processes.
  • Adapt global Project Management standards, tools and methodologies to meet Australian and New Zealand regulatory, contractual and operational requirements.
  • Act as the primary interface between global PM Excellence functions and the Oceania Project Management organisation.
  • Lead the implementation, optimisation and governance of project management systems, digital platforms, reporting tools and performance metrics.
  • Support project teams in developing execution strategies, schedules, resource plans and governance frameworks to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Facilitate project readiness reviews, lessons learned workshops and continuous improvement initiatives across the project lifecycle.
  • Develop training materials and capability-building programs to strengthen project delivery excellence across the organisation.
  • Promote standardisation, knowledge sharing and best practice adoption to enhance project predictability, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
 
 
YOUR PROFILE:
 
  • 8+ years' experience in Project Management, PMO, Project Controls, Project Excellence or Project Delivery roles within the renewable energy, construction, infrastructure or engineering sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing project management frameworks, governance models and delivery methodologies within complex project environments.
  • Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, from development and tendering through to execution, commissioning and project close-out.
  • Proven experience driving organisational change, continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of project management systems and governance frameworks.
  • Experience working within international and matrix organisations, supporting the deployment and localisation of global standards and processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of project delivery methodologies, project controls, governance frameworks, risk management, scheduling and performance reporting.
  • Proficiency in project management systems, digital platforms, reporting tools and data-driven decision-making practices.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively across multiple organisational levels.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to translate business objectives into practical delivery solutions.
  • Highly organised, proactive and solution-oriented, with a strong commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel across Australia and New Zealand as required.
