Head of Sourcing

The Head of Sourcing Oceania leads and develops the regional Sourcing organisation while ensuring strong alignment with Nx Group global sourcing strategies and governance. This role has full ownership of sourcing performance across the region, including budget accountability, spend management, supplier strategy and key commercial negotiations.
The position plays a critical role in supporting Sales and Project Delivery, securing competitive, reliable and compliant supply solutions for nacelles, towers, blades and local TCI scopes. At the same time, the role proactively manages supply chain risks and safeguards Nx’s commercial, contractual and operational interests. This is a senior leadership role with high visibility, requiring strong stakeholder management across local and global teams.
YOUR TASKS:
- Lead, develop and inspire the Oceania Sourcing team, ensuring clear accountability, performance management and alignment with Nx Group sourcing strategies, policies and governance.
- Own and manage the regional Sourcing budget, providing full spend visibility, cost control and continuous optimisation initiatives.
- Partner closely with Sales during tendering and negotiation phases to deliver competitive, robust and scalable sourcing solutions.
- Ensure effective sourcing coverage for global components (nacelles, towers, blades) as well as local TCI scopes.
- Lead and actively participate in key supplier and subcontractor negotiations, securing strong commercial and contractual outcomes.
- Identify, assess and mitigate sourcing and supply chain risks, ensuring continuity of supply, compliance and cost stability.
- Ensure consistent application of sourcing processes and governance, including RFQs, supplier selection, contracting, Supplier Boards (SBs) and claims management.
- Act as the primary regional interface with Global Sourcing, providing structured reporting on performance, risks and opportunities to both local and global stakeholders.
- 8–10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing or supply chain roles within project-based or industrial environments, ideally within renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders in complex, matrix organisations.
- Strong commercial and contractual expertise, including negotiations, supplier management, cost control and risk mitigation.
- Experience supporting sales and tendering activities is highly desirable.
- Strong background working in an international environment, balancing local business needs with global standards and governance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Economics or a related field; postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications are an advantage.
- A commercially driven, analytical and resilient leader, with excellent communication skills, high integrity and strong cultural awareness.
