Grid Application Stream Lead

As part of our growth, we are looking for a Grid Application Stream Lead to oversee grid connection submissions across multiple projects and act as the key link between engineering and sales, ensuring alignment of priorities, resources, and technical-commercial commitments.
YOUR TASKS:
- Team Management: Lead and manage the Grid Application Stream, including planning, resource allocation, and performance monitoring. Ensure the team is adequately resourced and supported to meet project demands.
- Project Oversight: Supervise the preparation and submission of Generator Performance Standards (GPS), project-specific studies, and all required technical documentation. Ensure submissions are delivered on time and meet customer and regulatory expectations.
- Customer and Stakeholder Interface: Act as the main point of contact for customer grid teams. Participate in technical meetings with customers, AEMO, and NSPs to ensure alignment with project requirements and contractual obligations.
- Sales Interface: Collaborate with the Sales team to prioritise projects, align technical and commercial strategies, and support the preparation of offers. Participate in regular meetings with Sales to coordinate priorities and resource planning.
- Consultant Management: Define scopes of work for external consultants, manage their engagement, and ensure quality and timely delivery of their outputs.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all submissions meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements. Review deliverables from the team and consultants to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Planning and Reporting: Develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and report on key milestones, risks, and resource utilisation. Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and customers.
YOUR PROFILE:
- 8–10 years of experience in grid connection, power systems, and related technical fields, with strong knowledge of Australian grid codes and compliance standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, power systems or a related discipline (mandatory); Master’s/MBA in Engineering Management or Energy Systems (desirable). Certifications in Project Management (PMP) or power systems tools are advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage grid connection submissions, liaise with AEMO/NSPs, and deliver complex projects while leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Hands-on expertise in Generator Performance Standards (GPS), regulatory compliance, and technical documentation, combined with experience in consultant management and ensuring quality deliverables.
- Strategic and results-driven leader with excellent stakeholder engagement, strong problem-solving mindset, and ability to align technical and commercial strategies.
