YOUR TASK

 

Acciona Nordex Green Hydrogen is seeking a Sustainability Manager who will play a key role in driving actions that position the company at the forefront of sustainability commitment.

This role will be responsible for developing and implementing a positioning strategy, as well as an advanced management plan and system aligned with the ambitious goals of our regenerative mission, ensuring real and positive impacts on the company's operations and its shareholders commitments.

 

- Drive the fulfilment of the objectives of the Sustainability Plan (PDS) across the organization, ensuring the generation of real and measurable impacts.

- Develop and maintain a framework of policies, systems, and processes related to sustainability commitments, aligned with the corporate strategy.
- Coordinate and oversee the compliance of sustainability commitments, with a particular focus on the potential impacts of projects on local communities and biodiversity.
- Lead and coordinate new initiatives and commitments of the company in the field of sustainability, developing procedures and ensuring their effective implementation throughout the organization.
- Provide support to the company's business units to ensure compliance with the sustainability requirements of different jurisdictions, international commitments, or financial institutions (gap analysis).
- Serve as a key point of contact with third parties, particularly financial institutions and local authorities, regarding sustainability matters, ensuring alignment with external regulations and commitments, participating actively in due diligence processes.
- Supervise and coordinate the preparation of sustainability-related information required by shareholders, investors, or third parties, ensuring transparency and integrity.

- Develop and implement technical training programs on sustainability for teams in various business areas.
- Develop and execute the strategies necessary to duly address the social and environmental analysis and reports, fully compliant with the Group's standards, to obtain the environmental approvals from the applicable statutory authorities and get the needful bankability of the projects from DFIs, multilateral banks and commercial lenders.

- Develop the internal processes related with management procedures and standardization rules as requested and when necessary for Acciona Nordex Green Hydrogen and the project companies.
 

YOUR PROFILE

 

- Education in sustainability, environmental studies, economics, or related fields.

- Knowledge of biodiversity management.

- Leadership and project management skills.
- Ability to manage uncertainty and work in culturally diverse contexts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate initiatives at the corporate level.
- Ability to lead and coordinate large-scale projects in a global environment.
- Motivated and committed personality with a high drive and ownership.

- Commitment to sustainability and innovation.

- Proficiency with GIS tools.

- Fluent in English. Portuguese will be valuable.
