YOUR TASKS:

As a Global Strategic Commercial Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping Nordex's product strategy. Working closely with our concept development team and directly with our top management, you will contribute to product development and commercial decisions to ensure market fit. Your responsibilities will include commercial value analysis, go-to-market strategy, strategic product decision proposals, benchmarking, and more.

  • Market Analysis and Competitiveness Assessment: Conduct market studies, competitor benchmarking, and scenario analysis to contribute to Nordex's product strategy, ensuring our products maintain a competitive edge
  • Product value calculation: Calculate the customer business case and the value of future products, derivatives or options (LCOE and NPV)
  • Process excellence: Lead the development of an enterprise level tool chain to enable a fast iteration of commercial and technical concept assessments
  • Go-to-market strategy: Collaborate with our sales team to canvas market and customer segments and understand their value targets. Help crafting the regional go-to-market.
  • Meet our customers: Support sales in customer meetings and capture ideas and customer requirements to feed them into our new developments.
  • Product Development Decisions: Prepare and facilitate product development decisions, including business case analysis, market introduction strategies, and market requirements, in close collaboration with top management.
  • Strategic Decision Proposals: Prepare and present strategic decision proposals to top management and board level, influencing key decisions that shape Nordex's product strategy.
  • Ad-hoc Strategic Tasks: Undertake various ad-hoc strategic tasks assigned directly by top management, contributing to Nordex's continuous growth and success.

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Commercial and Technical Wind Expertise: Hold a technical university degree and have several years of experience in a sales support, project procurement or product strategy position. Have a deep understanding of the holistic business case of a wind project and its value drivers and a strong technical background to understand the implication of customer requirements on product configurations.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: Display an entrepreneurial and strategic mindset, demonstrating the ability to drive initiatives to success within a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Analytical and communication skills: Exhibit excellent analytical and communication skills, enabling you to present complex information effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in tools and programming languages: Have a strong command of MS Office tools and ideally possess basic programming skills, enabling you to develop sophisticated financial models.
  • Global perspective: Collaborating with teams across different regions and cultural backgrounds.
  • Language skills: Fluency in English is essential, while proficiency in German and/or Spanish would be advantageous.
  • Availability to travel: Occasional travelling will be required mostly within Europe and occasionally to other continents.
