We are currently looking to recruit a Lead Technician on a Permanent basis to join the team at Kilbraur

 

 

How can you make a difference?

 

The position of Lead Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of wind turbines within your area.  As a Lead Technician you will co-ordinate a team of Service Technicians to ensure the completion of allocated tasks within specific time frames and to a high standard. 

 

 

What will you be doing? 

 

Key responsibilities for this role include: 

 

  • Responsibility for the availability and performance of Wind Farms within an allotted area
  • Daily on-site planning and co-ordination of work
  • Analysing any defects with the support of the Senior lead Technician and Technical Back Office
  • Carrying out planned maintenance, inspection activities and any complex repairs
  • Clearing End of Warranty and maintenance punch lists
  • Creating SNOW tickets where appropriate
  • Reviewing Man on Turbine status within their team
  • Inputting into Site Emergency plans, ensuring availability on site.
  • Responsibility for site inductions and Toolbox talks
  • Responsibility for control of subcontractors at site ensuring work quality and HSE standards are maintained.
  • Check statutory inspections are completed.
  • Responsibility for complete, correct and timely reporting including HSE and Maintenance reporting.

 

 

What are we looking for? 

 

The successful candidate will hold an Electrical or Mechanical qualification at Level 3 standard or equivalent and have significant experience working as a Service Technician. 

 

You will have experience of coordinating a team and will have great planning and organisational skills.  You will also demonstrate strong communication skills and be a natural problem solver who is results orientated. 

 

You will be computer literate with the ability to use MS Office and SAP along with in house databases and workload management systems.

 

This role will require you to work at heights and to pass a fitness test and medical.  You are required to have a full UK driving licence. 

 

This role does require flexibility and willingness to travel including nights away from home.
