Wind & Site Excellence Manager (m/f/d)

Do you have experience in the site assessment of wind farms? And do you have the drive and creativity to lift the performance of the wind & site organization to the next level? Then become part of our Wind & Site Excellence team.

 

Our global W&S teams are responsible to ensure turbine suitability and to maximize turbine performance in each wind farm project, selecting from various turbine variants, and optimizing operational strategies and wind farm layouts. In the W&S Excellence team we want to ensure this is done efficiently and with the best results.

As Wind & Site Excellence Manager (m/f/d) your task will be to continuously improve our technical solutions and processes. You will make sure that processes are streamlined, smart software tools are developed, and new turbine and controller improvements are triggered. Also, you will organize trainings and ensure that solutions and best practices are shared between global teams. You will report to the Director Project Optimization and Wind & Site Excellence.

 

Your Tasks

  • Identify new ideas and continuously improve the processes, to increase the efficiency and output of the wind & site organization
  • Align with the experts in wind & site and engineering to develop advanced digitalization and automatization tools
  • Analyse suitability assessments and trigger new turbine and controller developments to improve the turbine performance even in complex sites
  • Set up trainings and manuals to share new solutions and best practices in the wind & site community

 

Your Profile

  • Completed university studies in the field of Engineering (M.Sc. or equivalent in meteorology, computer science, renewable energies, electrical, geology, etc.)
  • Experience in the wind industry, ideally in wind & site assessment
  • Self-driven with holistic view to improve the performance of multi-departmental processes
  • Competence in specific software tools for wind & site assessments, such as WindPro, WasP, CfD
  • Ideally experience with machine learning and automatization tools
  • Fluent in English, while Spanish and/or German would be an advantage
