Wind & Site Engineer (m/f/d)

Our Wind & Site Assessment Engineers are making sure that our customers get the best production while keeping highest safety requirements for turbines in their wind farms. Together with our Sales and Engineering we optimize wind farms based on the site data and following the requirements of our customers.
YOUR TASKS
- Check, screen and review external consult reports regarding average wind conditions, energy production and site suitability for projects in D-A-CH region
- Challenge and discuss input conditions with internal stakeholders, customers and consultants
- Prepare all necessary input data for load assessments based on industry practice and common assumptions
- Assess site specific loads based on external input data with NX inhouse tools
- Report, document and release site specific reports
- Identify risks and opportunities in early phase and develop adequate mitigation measures
- Report achievements, risks and challenges on regular basis
- Ensure active involvement of corporate Health, Safety & Environmental
- Irregular travel within the country and abroad is part of the job
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor or Master in Engineering (meteorology, renewable energies, electrical, geology, etc.)
- Experience in wind energy, wind/climate modeling and/or other fluid models
- Competence in specific software tool for wind data analysis/evaluations, such as WindPro, WasP
- Good German and English communication skills in speaking and writing
- Self-driven and process-oriented working style, with sufficient flexibility to cover the unforeseen
- Ability to deal and work with other cultures and technical areas hand in hand and to find the best solutions
