As part of our international Wind Turbine Control team, you will work in a multidisciplinary environment contributing to the development of turbine control software and PLC automation technology.
YOUR TASKS
- Tool Development & Maintenance: Provide and maintain essential tools supporting other teams in their daily operations (e.g., Jenkins, Teamscale).
- PLC Software Architecture: Design and optimize the PLC software architecture for modularity and hardware abstraction.
- Vendor Collaboration: Qualify new IDEs, libraries, features, and firmware versions from our PLC vendors, track issues, and collaborate closely to solve them.
- System Integration: Identify synergies across PLC solutions and support their unification under our “One Controller” strategy.
- Cross-Departmental Support: Support other departments with PLC-related predevelopment and proof-of-concept activities.
- IT Security: Implement IT security measures related to PLCs, ensuring compliance and protection against emerging threats.
YOUR PROFILE
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Telecommunications, or comparable field
- Good knowledge of PLC programming according to IEC61131
- First Experience with Bachmann or Phoenix Contact automation technology is an advantage
- First Knowledge of IT security topics related to PLC programming (SysLog, certificates, user management) preferred
- First Experience in various programming languages (C#, C++, Python, Groovy, Matlab/Simulink)
- Familiarity with version control systems such as SVN or Git
- First Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Profinet, CAN, Modbus TCP, OPC-UA, etc.)
- Strong analytical and abstract thinking skills
- High results orientation, quality awareness, and initiative
- Excellent English skills (written and spoken); ideally German or Spanish skills
- Independent, reliable, and structured way of working combined with strong communication and intercultural skills
