We are seeking a Group Lead R&D Project Funding (m/f/d) to maximize external funding of R&D expenses through specific R&D grants and/or tax deduction benefits, in particular in Spain and Germany, looking for opportunities in GLF ENG as well as realizing synergies across different Nordex organizations (Global Engineering, IT, Manufacturing and Logistic Dpts. as well as Service).

 

YOUR TASKS

  • Manage an internal team working to identify and realize R&D funding opportunities within Nordex Engineering, by properly monitoring department expenses and technical activities
  • Understand company R&D activities and scope of scope of projects, including both technical and economical requirements
  • Active search and identification of potential grant opportunities that align with the organization’s mission and R&D goals
  • Perform regular monitoring of expenses and activities for early detection of deviations plus realization of opportunities
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive and compelling grant proposals optimally addressing the specificities of each funding opportunity
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of grant-related information. This includes tracking submissions, progress, and reporting as well as ensuring compliance with grant requirements and prepare joint project application proposals   
  • Technical and financial oversight and reporting: track all grant activities and expenses for proper and timely reporting of funded projects expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial regulations
  • Work cross-functionally with team members to coordinate grant activities
  • Create and maintain a network across different Nordex departments to detect cooperations and common challenges
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with research institutes/research partners, grantors and funding agencies, including, among others, EU, CDTI and Government of Navarre in Spain, including regular communication for a  successful grant management
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in grant funding policies and procedures
  • Define required processes for maximization of R&D Funding at Nordex globally

 

 

YOUR PROFILE

  • University Degree or Masters, preferably in Engineering or other technical field.

  • Highly valuable: MBA, Program in Management or Bachelor in Economics or Business management Valuable: additional training in renewable energies and wind technology

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in R&D project funding in a multinational setting
  • Capability of understanding technical challenges and scope of projects paired with strong analytical skills and creativity
  • Strong communication skills as well as a systematic, careful and reliable way of working
  • Comfortable to work and interact frequently with relevant stakeholders across all Nordex business areas, mainly global Engineering in Spain, Germany and India but also Finance/Tax/ Service/IT/Manufacturing and more
  • Creativity and desire to work in a multi-national environment, flexibility and team spirit as well as a good sense of humor
  • People Leadership: Essential leadership skills for proper stakeholder alingment and team management
  • Good interpersonal skills to properly manage corporate relations with entities such as Government of Navarre, CDTI, Universities, research institutes and others
  • Fluency in English required, additional skills in Spanish or German are nice to have
