The Global Technical Academy is the central hub for technical training within the Nordex Group. We are responsible for the global education and upskilling of service technicians and set standards for technical training programs delivered to employees, customers, and subcontractors in more than 40 countries. As a key interface between product development and technical competence building, you ensure that relevant knowledge is transferred efficiently and consistently, enabling safe and high‑quality installation and maintenance of our wind turbines worldwide.
YOUR TASKS

You lead the development and continuous improvement of technical training curricula, concepts, and materials for products, processes, and technologies, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational requirements

You define and execute the overall strategy for the Learning & Competence Development team, including goals, KPIs, prioritization principles, and continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with Academy Leadership

You drive innovation and change related to global training standards, development tools, training equipment, and development processes

You establish, maintain, and enforce policies, standards, and procedures for training development workflows and deliverables

You lead, coach, and develop an international team, including onboarding, capacity and resource planning, professional development, and methodological guidance

You collect and analyze training development needs from performance data, technology updates, Operations and HSE feedback, and participant evaluations

You steer strategic training portfolio decisions together with senior management, from prioritization preparation through implementation planning

You ensure close alignment with Training Coordination and Trainer teams to support early piloting and scalable implementation of new training formats

You strengthen collaboration with Engineering, 2nd Level Support, technical experts, and Regional Academies to ensure technical accuracy, regional ownership, and global consistency

You support trainer qualification and global knowledge exchange by coordinating Train‑the‑Trainer activities and fostering continuous professional development
YOUR PROFILE

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technical Education, Instructional Design, or a comparable field.

Extensive experience in technical training development, instructional design, or technical documentation, preferably in an industrial or technical environment

Proven leadership experience including team management, coaching, talent development, and leading change in global or cross‑functional environments

Strong strategic and organizational skills with the ability to define priorities, set measurable goals, and steer teams accordingly

Excellent stakeholder management skills across Engineering, Operations, HSE, Technical Support, and international interfaces

High proficiency in digital learning tools, multimedia content creation, and Learning Management Systems

Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, structured, and learner‑oriented training solutions

Strong project management experience in international, multi‑stakeholder environments

Fluent English skills, written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage
