Group Lead IT Network Design & Configuration (m/f/d)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Group Lead IT Network Design & Configuration (m/f/d) to head our established team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and configuring network schematics tailored to our new wind farm projects. You will oversee the transformation of these schematics into configuration files and, following deployment, will support your team in conducting network tests at our production facility in Rostock, Germany.

 

YOUR TASKS
• Lead the “Network Design & Configuration” team with clear vision and strategy
• Ensure the team’s KPIs are communicated and consistently monitored
• Develop expertise in network design and schematic creation, sharing knowledge within the team
• Introduce and manage automated deployment for network component configuration files
• Support network and system testing at the Rostock production site
• Drive process improvements within IT Network, Security & Access, coordinating with adjacent teams
• Gather insights from completed and ongoing projects to optimize processes, improve products, and drive cost-effectiveness in collaboration with other departments
• Ensure that IT systems electronics trainees acquire relevant knowledge and skills for their vocational training

YOUR PROFILE
• University degree in Electrical Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or related field
• Experience in disciplinary or functional team leadership
• Strong knowledge of computer networking and configuration (e.g., IP concepts, firewalls)
• Analytical mindset with an ability to understand complex network architectures
• Proficiency in MS Visio or similar tools is a plus
• Self-driven, organized, and solution-oriented working style
• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
• Fluency in German and English; additional language skills, such as Spanish, are an advantage
• Intercultural competence and a team-oriented approach to thrive in international, cross-functional teams 

• Willingness to travel, intercontinentally for business as needed and regional on a regular base

• Valid car driving license
