Global Sourcing Manager - Operational Services (m/f/d)

As a Global Sourcing Manager – Operational Services, you take end-to-end responsibility for sourcing critical service solutions across the Central region. You ensure the reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable supply of operational services that are essential for turbine availability and service performance. Acting as a trusted partner to the Service organization, you combine commercial excellence, market expertise, and stakeholder leadership to support business growth and operational success.

YOUR TASKS

  • Take full responsibility for sourcing operational service solutions across the Central region and ensure reliable support for the regional Service organization
  • Lead complex RFQ and RFP processes, including supplier evaluations, commercial assessments, contract negotiations, and award recommendations
  • Secure the availability of critical operational services such as crane operations, maintenance, repair, and inspection services to support service execution and turbine uptime
  • Act as a trusted business partner to regional Service teams, balancing operational requirements, commercial objectives, and market realities
  • Manage and develop regional suppliers with a strong focus on safety, quality, performance, responsiveness, and cost competitiveness
  • Drive savings and optimization initiatives while ensuring operational continuity and long-term supplier capability
  • Contribute to the development of a scalable supplier network capable of supporting significant future growth across the Central region

YOUR PROFILE

  • Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable technical or commercial qualification
  • Several years of sourcing, procurement, or supplier management experience, ideally within wind energy, power generation, industrial services, engineering services, or a similarly technical service environment
  • Proven experience sourcing and managing technical service providers, including maintenance, repair, installation, inspection, crane services, field services, or comparable operational services
  • Strong track record in RFQs, RFPs, commercial negotiations, supplier management, contract management, and cost optimization
  • Experience working closely with operational organizations and demanding stakeholders in dynamic and growth-oriented business environments
  • Fluent German and English skills are required; Spanish language skills are highly desirable and considered a significant advantage
  • Pragmatic, hands-on, and results-oriented mindset with strong prioritization skills, commercial judgment, and willingness to travel occasionally
