The Cost of Energy (COE) Program is the core program of Nordex Acciona Windpower. Its objective is to improve the competitiveness of our product over the lifecycle of a wind turbine, looking at the entire value chain. The essence of the COE Program is looking into our product from a customer´s perspective to achieve commercial impact. As COE Manager within the Global Cost of Energy Program you will work as cross-functional leader for the following tasks:

 

YOUR TASKS

  • As COE Manager you will be member of the COE Program office in the headquarter in Hamburg or Pamplona
  • Contribute to the conceptual development of the COE program within Nordex
  • Lead, motivate and manage cross-functional working groups and their initiatives / measures to achieve their targets
  • Challenge the COE working groups to generate, prioritize and implement COE ideas
  • Evaluate the commercial impact of various technological solutions
  • Prioritize results, identify & remove roadblocks and prepare decision proposals to implement improvement ideas
  • Prepare, present and participate in regular reporting meetings with Board members and other high level executives
  • Act as key COE contact for various internal departments such as Sales, Engineering, Procurement, PM, Service, Product Development and Product Strategy
  • Lead the whole company towards a COE conscious culture and Support other top priority strategic projects
  • Outstanding opportunity for career development within the organization

 

YOUR PROFILE 

  • Excellent university degree in engineering or business disciplines or equivalent
  • Several years of relevant professional experience (e.g. performance improvement programs) in the wind industry
  • Clear understanding of Cost of Energy concept
  • Outstanding analytical skills in combination with high social competence
  • Strong commercial experience (e.g. negotiation with suppliers or customers, value stream analysis, or cost controlling)
  • First technical understanding of the wind turbine and the wind industry, or keen interest to learn
  • Relevant project management expertise
  • Entrepreneurial hands-on mentality, independent self-starter, positive attitude, team player
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Fluent in English. Further language proficiency, for example in Spanish and/or German is an advantage
  • Ability to work with different business cultures
