Join our finance team as an experienced Accountant (m/f/d) and help shape the future of our growing company. We're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a hands-on mindset and passion for collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate and timely financial records in accordance with HGB (German Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
- Monitor and interpret changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring the company's financial practices remain compliant.
- Ensure invoices are posted correctly and on time, and check that payment terms with our suppliers are met.
- Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders, including management, colleagues, and external partners.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning and financial goal-setting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on HGB and IFRS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confident in working with MS Excel and ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
- Structured, detail-oriented and analytical working style.
- Team player with strong communication skills and proactive attitude.
- Comfortable working with deadlines in a dynamic project environment.
- Fluent in English - German is a plus.
- Experience in the renewable energy sector is a plus.
