Expert Engineer (m/f/d) Concrete Tower & Foundations

We are looking for an experienced and highly qualified civil engineer (m/f/d) for the design verification of towers of wind turbines in prestressed concrete construction. You will play an important role in the design, analysis, and optimization of concrete structures to ensure their safety, reliability, and efficiency. Your in-depth technical knowledge, attention to detail and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams will contribute to the success of our renewable energy projects. 

 

YOUR TASKS: 

  • Assessment and processing of damage to concrete structures, preparation of root cause analyses and the development of repair measures and receiving Approval by customers and Federal and Regional Government Authorities in Germany
  • Design and Verification by means of calculation of concrete structures in wind turbines using the finite element method (FEM), among other things, to ensure the structural integrity of the turbines under different wind conditions
  • Developing and improvement of the design base and calculation tools
  • Ensuring the development process of concrete and hybrid towers for wind turbines in cooperation with suppliers

 

YOUR PROFILE: 

  • Completed diploma, master's or preferably doctorate in civil engineering with a focus on prestressed concrete construction
  • Very good knowledge and experience in the design and calculation of fatigue-stressed steel and prestressed concrete structures; ideally experience with towers and foundations of wind turbines
  • Experience and references in cooperation with Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik (DIBt) and receiving of National technical approvals (abZ) and General construction technique permits (aBG)
  • Experience in direct cooperation with Higher Building Authorities of the German States
  • In-depth experience with the damage assessment and conducting Root Cause Analysis on  pre-stressed concrete structures and developing and evaluating retrofits
  • Experience in using powerful commercial FEM software such as ANSYS or Abaqus for the calculation of concrete structures
  • Experience in concept development and publicly funded research projects in Germany and/ or Spain
  • Very good knowledge of the body of standards esp. DIBT Guideline
  • Ability to work independently, and systematically
  • Assertive and confident appearance, strong team spirit
  • Very good written and spoken English and German, Spanish is an advantage
