Engineering Project Manager (m/f/d) - Grid Code Development

We are looking for a skilled Project Manager (m/f/d) to lead and coordinate technical development projects related to Grid Code Compliance for wind turbines. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our turbine platforms meet the latest regulatory requirements across various global markets. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Sales, Production, and Certification Authorities, to drive the successful implementation of grid compliance solutions.

 

YOUR TASKS:

  • Manage and coordinate multiple development projects related to Grid Code Compliance, ensuring budget, timeline, and quality standards are met.

  • Analyze regulatory requirements for wind turbine grid integration in different global markets (e.g., Canada, Australia, Germany, Spain).

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Electrical, Software, Mechanical Engineering) to ensure technical feasibility and proper implementation of compliance requirements.

  • Oversee the development process from initial concept to serial production, including prototyping, testing, and certification.

  • Coordinate prototype tests and validation processes to ensure compliance with new market regulations.

  • Align project scope and schedules with other project managers and report progress to the Program Director of Turbine Serial Development.

  • Manage stakeholder communication with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Regulatory Authorities to ensure project alignment and smooth execution.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks related to grid compliance regulations and technical implementations.

  • Support the integration of grid compliance updates into existing and new turbine platforms, ensuring seamless transition into production.

 

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.

  • Proven experience in technical project management, preferably within the wind energy industry (PM certification is a plus).

  • Knowledge of Grid Code Compliance and electrical grid regulations is highly beneficial.

  • Strong understanding of wind turbine electrical and control systems (software, hardware, grid integration).

  • Hands-on experience with MS Office tools (including MS Project Server). Experience with ERP and PLM systems is an advantage.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a structured and solution-oriented approach.

  • Experience working in an international, cross-cultural environment.

  • Fluent English skills are required. Knowledge of Spanish and/or German is a plus.
