Engineer Geometrical System Integration (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Geometric Integration Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Design & Integration team, ensuring the seamless geometrical integration of components across various wind turbine modules (Blade, Hub, Nacelle, and Tower). This role focuses on system layout optimization, balancing technical, logistical, and safety requirements to enhance overall turbine performance.
YOUR TASKS:
- Develop and maintain space allocation models for key turbine components to optimize layout and system integration.
- Coordinate the overall turbine layout design, ensuring compliance with engineering, production, service, logistics, and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) requirements.
- Lead and moderate design reviews to validate integration feasibility and resolve potential conflicts.
- Optimize part reuse and reduce complexity across different projects and platforms.
- Ensure accessibility for installation, maintenance, and transportation while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
- Work efficiently with large CAD assemblies in Siemens NX and Teamcenter to maintain a consistent digital mockup.
- Manage design changes and lifecycle improvements, ensuring smooth transitions from concept to serial production.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong expertise in CAD and PLM tools, with Siemens NX and Teamcenter experience preferred.
- Experienced in handling large mechanical assemblies and optimizing component layouts.
- Understanding of mechanical design principles, including weight distribution and structural feasibility.
- Familiarity with configuration management and modular design strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, logistics, and production teams.
- Experience in an industrial or renewable energy environment (wind energy experience is a plus but not mandatory).
- Structured and solution-oriented approach with a focus on efficiency and problem-solving.
- Fluent in English (German is a plus).
- Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
