Mechanical Engineer Cooling System Reliability & Development (m/f/d)

As a Cooling System Reliability & Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance and reliability of our cooling systems. Your focus will be on validating prototypes, analyzing reliability data, and driving improvements that enhance both prototype and operational turbine designs. Collaborating closely with the System Lead and other stakeholders, you will contribute to the development of innovative cooling solutions that meet the highest industry standards.

 

YOUR TASKS:

  • Define and implement validation plans for cooling systems in new turbine prototypes in collaboration with the System Lead.
  • Conduct reliability performance studies for prototype turbines under validation and operational turbines.
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) for field investigations related to cooling systems.
  • Identify design improvements based on findings from reliability studies and validation outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain the cooling system DFMEA and coordinate follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate with the System Team to create and update system documentation.

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering (University or FH).
  • 5+ years of experience in the wind turbine sector, specifically with cooling systems.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of cooling systems in industrial applications.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with confidence in negotiations and stakeholder interactions.
  • Experience in project management is a plus.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; German or Spanish skills are an advantage.
