YOUR TASKS:

  • Planning and execution of root cause analysis for any general field issue: actively searching for causes and applicable solutions in a short term and cost-effective way.
  • Performing related load calculations for class or site-specific conditions as well as concept studies for novel solutions development.
  • Documentation of results and their assessment in technical reports as well as support during the certification or claims related tasks
  • Optimizing controller functions as well as supporting in the different components' design in a multidisciplinary team
  • Support of service projects and project work according to Nordex project management system
  • Support on the continuous development and improvement of the toolchain and methodologies (wind modeling, CFD, aeroelastic codes, site assessments) based on the feedback provided by on-field situations

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • M.Sc. or equivalent in mechanical engineering/physics or similar with specialization dynamics and simulation
  • More than 5 years of experience in similar roles/functions
  • Knowledge on recognized standards such as IEC 61400-1
  • Professional experience with aerodynamic simulation tools as e.g. Bladed, Alaska, HawcStab, Flex5
  • Good knowledge of dynamic simulations of complex systems in an industrial application as well as for fatigue analysis methodologies, focused on field supporting topics like troubleshooting issues on field, analysis of complex phenomena, etc
  • Optionally additional skills on: general analysis software (MATLAB, R…), structural mechanics, usage of automatization tools or wind modeling related tools (WindPro) as well as fluid computational (CFD) tools preferable
  • Good team player and very good interpersonal skills, strong communicator, dynamism and flexibility in a shifting daily work
  • Fluent in English, ideally skills in Spanish and/or German as well
