YOUR TASKS
As Director Quality Logistics (f/m/D), you will play a key role in shaping and executing our global logistics quality strategy. You will ensure that all logistics activities—from factory to site delivery and return—are executed with excellence and in full compliance with international standards.
This position offers a unique opportunity to lead quality operations in a complex, global environment beyond Nordex-owned facilities, including external storage yards, ports, and terminals. You will be responsible for building scalable quality frameworks, steering supplier performance across more than 100 international port locations, and embedding a proactive quality culture throughout our logistics network.
  • Develop and implement a global Logistics Quality Management System (LQMS) aligned with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
  • Ensure “Right First Time” execution across all logistics touchpoints, including loading and destination ports
  • Lead internal and external audits, manage non-conformances, and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Collaborate with port authorities, shipping lines, and logistics partners to optimize operational performance
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with international maritime regulations (IMO, SOLAS, ISM Code)
  • Introduce real-time monitoring tools and KPI dashboards to support data-driven decision-making
  • Conduct root cause analyses and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Lead and mentor a global team of logistics quality professionals across multiple regions
  • Support the development of an end-to-end logistics quality approach for a global spend of approx. €1.1 billion annually
YOUR PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Logistics, or Quality Management; Master’s degree preferred
  • Proven experience in maritime logistics and global quality management
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work in a dynamic, international environment
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and international maritime regulations
  • Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, and CMLP
  • Proficient in ERP & TMS systems (SAP, Oracle, Navis N4), QMS tools (Q-Pulse, ETQ), and Power BI
  • Fluent in English; Spanish or German language skills are appreciated
