Director Global Aftermarket Sales reports to the VP Service Sales and Service Product Management and is responsible for securing the global Aftermarket business targets. Order intake, as-sold-margin and revenue are the driving indicators for success.

Main interfaces include close collaboration with multiple functions such as the regional Service Directors, Service Sales Engineering, regional Aftermarket Sales teams, global Finance, operational Key Account Managers and Service Operations teams with the task to supporting the Regions in meeting their overall business targets.

The position is preferably located in our HQ in Hamburg or Pamplona, alternatively in one of the other European Nordex offices.

 

YOUR TASKS

  • Secure global budget for Aftermarket Sales in line with the Business Plan in a matrix responsibility with the Regions
  • Drive change management to enable Aftermarket growth and regaining of market shares especially with Spare Parts and On-site Services
  • Functional leadership of dedicated Aftermarket Sales Managers in the region
  • Mange the headquarter based Aftermarket Backoffice Team (shared service approach supporting multiple countries) as well as the Upgrades Sales Team and the Business Development Team which report directly into this role
  • Define pricing strategy and ensure sales guidance and LOAs are followed for all Aftermarket transactions.
  • Drive Budget Planning and rolling forecasting for Aftermarket Sales
  • Further develop and continuously drive implementation of the global Nordex Aftermarket Growth Strategy as part of the Service Business Plan, including the motivation of the global organization towards necessary improvement needs in IT tools, interdepartmental support and process harmonization to ensure the growth plan
  • Create sales campaigns and initiatives to boost sales
  • Develop and drive negotiation of global Aftermarket Sales framework agreements for e.g spares or main component replacement agreements with international customers
  • Build relationships with the largest relevant international customers, establishing senior level network with decision makers
  • Lead market analysis and drive innovation in after-sales processes and products
  • Consolidate market requirements, incl. parts demand forecasting and proposing necessary Aftermarket Sales product developments for successful market penetration

 

 YOUR PROFILE

  • Sales professional with proven track record and willingness to win and develop growing business
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience with transactional Aftermarket sales business and/or service contracts business in a capital goods industry
  • Experience with sales to utilities or from wind industry / power generation is an advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or comparable
  • Master’s degree or other advanced certification in a related area would be an asset
  • Leadership experience in running Sales and/or Product Management teams
  • Team player, ability to work in cross-cultural work environments
  • Proactive and result orientated with strategic and analytical skills
  • Excellent in both written and spoken English; one or two further language skills would be an advantage
  • Readiness to travel on a regular basis
